About Jodi
Jodi Hoyt grew up in Central Minnesota and currently serves as the Director of Communication and Technology at First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where she designs and edits all aspects of communication including the website and social media, print materials (worship bulletins, newsletter, postcards, etc.), digital media (videos, podcasts, etc.), and weekly worship broadcasts.
Jodi attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree in music theory and composition. While at Concordia, Jodi served on the Homecoming Committee and the Campus Entertainment Commission and sang in the Concordia Choir for three years. Jodi earned her Master of Business Administration degree, specializing in management and leadership, from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Jodi and her husband, Nathan, live in Baltic, South Dakota, with their two young boys and two dogs. They are avid supporters of animal rescue, and they foster dogs regularly for Almost Home Canine Rescue. Jodi and Nathan are big football fans—Jodi cheers for the Vikings and Nathan for the Packers. Jodi enjoys golfing and biking and is a self-proclaimed tech geek, always exploring new gadgets and devices.
